YAHYA ÜZDİYEN

Born in 1957, Yahya Üzdiyen graduated from METU Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Department of Business Administration in 1980. From 1980 to 1966, he worked as a specialist and manager of foreign trade and investment in various private sector entities.

In 1997, he joined Doğan Group, and held the position of Strategy Group President of Doğan Holding until 2011, and assumed the role of Deputy Chairman on January 18, 2011. He played a key role in the acquisition, partnership and sales of several Group subsidiaries including POAŞ, Ray Sigorta and Star TV.

Üzdiyen currently sits on the boards of various Group companies, and is also the Deputy Chairman of Gümüştaş Madencilik A.Ş.

He is one of the leading entrepreneurs in Turkey in the mining industry with the role he played in the growth and development of Pınar Madencilik A.Ş., chrome mining company Akmetal Ltd., and Gümüştaş A.Ş., a Doğan Holding joint venture engaged in zinc, lead, gold and silver production.
