Our OHS Policy

Gümüştaş Madencilik is committed to protecting life, health and the environment, providing a safe working environment for all of our employees, and ensuring full compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) legislation in all operations.

Accordingly, our OHS policy includes the following commitments for the benefit of our employees, employees of our contractors, and our guests:

To take all measures as required by relevant legislation and to maintain and make available necessary personal protective equipment to ensure the health and safety of all of our stakeholders.

To accurately and effectively identify and eliminate unsafe situations and behavior at the workplace that may lead to occupational accidents or disease cause work accidents and occupational diseases.

To empower our employees and the employees of our contractors to refuse dangerous tasks, even if it means stopping production.

To provide employees with training including orientation, OHS, emergency, evacuation and other specific topics.

To organize annual health checkups as a precaution against occupational diseases.

To periodically check working environment, tools and equipment, including personal exposure, electrical grounding, machinery, shelter stations, automatic and manual fire extinguishers, fixed and mobile gas detectors, cranes and pressure vessels.
